2023: Academic All-ASC selection … started in 24 games … totaled 16 hits with 11 runs scored … added six RBI and 14 stolen bases … fielded 1.000 with 51 putouts and three assists. 2022: Academic All-ASC selection … played in 40 games with 39 starts … hit .239 in 134 at-bats … totaled 32 hits with three home runs, two triples and five doubles … scored 37 runs with 20 RBI … stole 16 bases … added 62 putouts and seven assists.  

Drake is a sports management major at UMHB. He played baseball and football at Sachse High School. Drake was an academic all-state selection and an all-district honoree. Drake played one year of collegiate baseball at Hendrix College, where he was selected Newcomer of the Year. He is the son of Pete and Lisa Herrera.
