Biography

2016: Missed the majority of the season due to injury… hit .250 in 14 games with nine hits, six runs and six RBI. 2015: Played in 23 games with 15 starts … batted .283 with 13 hits and 11 runs … added nine RBI on 16 total bases … totaled 21 putouts with 23 assists. 2014: Played in 14 games … scored six runs with one RBI … posted 14 putouts.

Emery is an English major at UMHB and hopes to become a high school teacher and baseball coach after graduation. He was a three-time all-district baseball player at Harker Heights High School, where he was also named Defensive MVP, Offensive MVP and Team MVP. Emery also earned all-area and all-state honors twice in his high school career. He is the son of Mike and Sandy Atkisson.
