Biography

2020: Started in 12 games ... slammed 13 hits for a .302 batting average ... had two doubles and one home run ... drove in six runs with eight scored ... added 67 putouts and seven assists ... season cut short due to COVID-19. 2019: Spring All-Academic Team … hit .255 with 27 hits and five extra-base slams … drove in 13 runs and scored 14 … recorded 196 putouts with 18 assists … caught 11 stealing baserunners. 2018: Rotated at catcher for the Cru … hit .279 in 25 games … scored four runs on 17 hits with 10 RBI … recorded 92 putouts with four assists.

Hunter is a biology major at UMHB and hopes to become a teacher/coach. He played baseball, basketball and football at Concordia Lutheran High School, where he earned six varsity letters. Hunter was an all-district and academic all-state selection in both football and baseball. Hunter was also a member of Student Council, NHS and FCA. He is the son of Austin and Jolynn McQuary.
