Biography

2024: All-ASC Honorable Mention … made a team-high 19 appearances on the mound … threw 10 scoreless appearances in 30.2 innings … recorded a 3.23 ERA with just 11 earned runs allowed … struck out 22 total batters … gave up just four walks … tallied two wins and three saves on the year.  

2023: Third Team All-ASC … threw a 3.07 ERA in 41 innings of work … went 2-3 on the mound in 18 appearances … allowed just 14 earned runs in 162 at-bats … struck out 36 batters … allowed just eight extra-base hits … added two saves … threw a season-high five strikeouts against Howard Payne (March 4) and Hardin-Simmons (April 7).

2022: All-ASC Honorable Mention … Academic All-ASC selection … made 13 mound appearances with 12 starts … pitched 57 innings … went 6-1 with a 6.12 ERA … recorded 49 strikeouts. 

Nicklas is a business administration major at UMHB. He played baseball and basketball at Canton High School, where he was named MVP, Newcomer of the Year and earned all-district honors. Nicklas was also an academic all-state and academic all-district honoree. He is the son of Charles and Amy Fenner.
