Mary Haridin-Baylor Athletics

Parker is a talented and experienced player as a reserve infielder each of the past two seasons. He will challenge for a larger role this year and is competing for the starting job at first base.

2012: Made appearances in 13 games with two starts … Swung for eight hits, including five RBI … Recorded a .257 slug percentage. 2011: Appeared in four games … Recorded one hit and a .333 slug percentage in three at-bats.

Parker’s favorite professional sports team is the Houston Astros and his favorite athlete is Craig Biggio. Parker enjoys listening to Texas Country and watching Duck Dynasty. His favorite food is doves wrapped in bacon and says most people don’t know that he can grill. He credits his father for having the biggest influence on him as a person and an athlete. Parker’s pre-game ritual is to pray before every game enjoys hunting and fishing when he’s not playing baseball.

Parker is studying business management at UMHB. He was an all-district baseball player at Waller High School where he was also named Offensive Player of the Year. Parker is the son of Butch and Pam Edmonds.
