Biography

2023: Made nine mound appearances with eight starts … threw a 4.82 ERA in 37.1 innings of work … allowed 43 hits and 20 earned runs … struck out 34 batters with just 11 extra-base hits allowed. 2022: ASC Co-Pitcher of the Week (April 24) … made 14 starts on the mound, going 3-5 … threw a season-high 8.1 innings with one allowed hit and 11 strikeouts at Sul Ross State (April 23) … threw for a season-total 53 innings with a 3.57 ERA … recorded 55 strikeouts. 2021: Missed the season due to injury.  2020: Went 2-2 on the mound in four starts ... pitched two complete games ... threw 26 innings with a 2.77 ERA ... gave up just eight earned runs ... struck out 22 batters ... held batters to a .200 average ... season cut short due to COVID-19.  
 
Rahul graduated with a degree in psychology from UMHB in 2023. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in counseling. Rahul played baseball at Mundelein High School. He is the son of Samir and Meghna Champaneri.
