2023: Started in 22 games … totaled 16 hits with eight runs scored and 12 RBI … added seven stolen bases … fielded .954 with 33 putouts and 40 assists … added 10 double plays. 2022: Played in 37 games with 34 starts … hit a .297 in 118 at-bats … totaled 35 hits with 10 doubles and one triple … scored 21 runs and drove in 17 more … stole 10 bases … added 81 assists and 53 putouts.  

Sam is a mechanical engineering major and wants to become an aerospace engineer. He was a two-time football all-district and three-time baseball all-district player at Navarro High School. Sam also collected three academic all-district and two academic all-state awards between the two sports. He is the son of Josh and Misty Muniga
