Biography

2024: Academic All-ASC Selection …  played in two games … missed most of the season with an injury.

2023: Academic All-ASC selection … played in nine games with two starts … totaled two hits with one RBI. 

Shane is a pre-health and applied mathematics major at UMHB. He played baseball at Ironwood Ridge High School, where he was a team captain. Shane was also named MVP of his team and set new school records for home runs in a season (nine) and most RBI in a season (38). Shane was also a member of National Honor Society and the class salutatorian. He also graduated with honors and was a president of the baseball club. Shane is the son of Phil and Kelly Melick.
