Biography

2016: Played in 17 games with 11 mound appearances … allowed just eight earned runs and nine hits in 10 innings of work … hit .245 on the year with 13 hits and two home runs. 2015: Appeared in 16 games as a relief pitcher … allowed 19 hits and 19 earned runs … struck out 15 batters. 2014: Split time as a position player and a pitcher … hit .200 in 25 at-bats … recorded five hits with four RBI and three runs … pitched 6.2 innings with a 2.70 ERA … allowed 11 hits in seven appearances … gave up six runs and two earned runs … struck out 11 batters with one walk. 

Ty is an exercise physiology major at UMHB and wants to own his own gym. He was three-time all-district and two-time all-area baseball player at Copperas Cove High School, where he also played football.  Ty was also a two-time CenTex All Star and an academic all-district selection. He is the son of Scott and Valarie Johnson.
