Tyler chose UMHB for ‘glory.’ His career goal is to ‘win’ and his most memorable sports moment is ‘hitting.’ Tyler says he doesn’t have any pregame rituals, hidden talents or a nickname. His dream vacation destination is ‘home’ and his walkup song is ‘silence.’ If Tyler could be a professional athlete, he’d be David Ortiz and if he could win an Olympic gold medal, he’d compete in racewalking.

Tyler is studying engineering at UMHB. He was an all-district three-year baseball letterman at McNeil High School, where he also earned all-district honors in football. Tyler is the son of Robert and Diane Taute and also a member of the UMHB football team.
