Alex is studying exercise and sport science at UMHB. She attended Dallas Lutheran School, where she participated in volleyball, basketball and track. Alex was a four-time volleyball all-district selection, also earning Freshman of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, TAAPS 2-3A Offensive Player of the Year, TAPPS All-Tournament Team and all-state awards. She was also a district champion in the high jump, long jump and 200-meter dash and a regional champion in the high jump and long jump. She also placed top three in the state in both the high jump and the long jump, earned all-district awards in basketball and was a regional qualifier in multiple track and field events. Alex was also valedictorian of her class and earned multiple awards and recognitions. She was an academic all-state selection and an AAU Volleyball Academic All-America honoree. Alex was also a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Art Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and National Charity League, earning several awards for her community service efforts. She opened her collegiate career with stops at Saint Francis University and Eastern Illinois University. Alex is the daughter of Jerry Dever and Elysia Moschos.
