Biography
Ervin joined the team at the semester break last season and made an immediate impact. He should once again be one of the team’s top frontcourt threats this year. Ervin is also a two-year starter at wide receiver on the Cru’s nationally-ranked football team. 2008-09: Ervin played in 21 games and averaged 4.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. He also finished third on the team with 11 blocked shots. Ervin posted season highs with 18 points and nine rebounds in the home victory over Schreiner. 2006-08: Ervin played two years of basketball at Temple College. High School: Ervin lettered in basketball, football, baseball and track at Valley Mills High School. Personal: Ervin is the son of Karen Johnson and Gary Simmons. He was born August 18, 1988 and is majoring in professional studies at UMHB.
