Mary Haridin-Baylor Athletics

Brittani is beginning her freshman season with the Cru. She chose UMHB because she liked the campus environment, Christian atmosphere, size and softball program. Her career goal is to go to medical school and become a physician’s assistant. Brittani’s pregame ritual is to untie and tie her shoes slowly, which symbolizes focus and readiness for her. Brittani’s hidden talents are wakeboarding and drawing and her dream vacation destination is anywhere with a beach. Her favorite sports moment was making the game-winning (diving) catch to win a tournament in high school. If Brittani could trade places with a professional athlete, she’d be Nelson Cruz and if she could win an Olympic gold medal, she’d chose volleyball. Brittani’s walk-up song is “Pickin Wildflowers” by Keith Anderson.

Brittani is studying pre-physical therapy at UMHB. She was an all-state and three-time all-district softball player at Bishop Lynch High School, where she also participated in volleyball and cheer. Brittani is the daughter of Todd and Marti Young.
