Brittany returns for her third season as a shortstop. Her strong arm will be an asset for the Cru this season.

2012: Sat out the season. 2011: Saw playing time in 39 games ... recorded 20 hits with one homer and 10 RBI ... 2009-10: Played her way into starting position at shortstop ... earned ASC All-West Division honors ... batted .296 with six homers and 23 RBI ... recorded four stolen bases.

Brittany’s favorite professional sports team is the Dallas Cowboys and her favorite professional athlete is New York Yankee Derek Jeter. Her career goal is to be a special education teacher and softball coach. Brittany enjoys listening to country music and can’t believe she watches Vampire Diaries. She says most people don’t know that she is Hispanic and credits her dad for having the biggest influence on her as a person and an athlete. Brittany chose UMHB because she loved the campus and wanted to play softball.

Brittany is studying special education at UMHB. She was a three-year softball letterwinner at Bowie High School, where her team made it to the state finals. Brittany is the daughter of Robert and Sheila Moreno.
