Biography

Caitlin is a two-year starter in the outfield for the Cru and should once again be a key to the UMHB offensive attack this season. She was a Second Team All-West Division selection after batting .359 with eight RBI last season. Caitlin also tied for the team lead with 13 stolen bases and was second on the team with 28 runs scored. Caitlin was an NFCA All-West Region selection as a freshman and she also earned ASC All-West Division honors. Caitlin led the Cru in batting average, hits and RBI in 2009 and she was second on the team in stolen bases. She batted .348 with 24 RBI, 48 hits and 18 runs scored while starting all 40 games for UMHB that season. Caitlin played softball at San Jacinto for one season before returning to the Cru last year. She was an All-District softball player at Spring High School and also earned All-District honors as a volleyball player. Caitlin is the daughter of Crystal Purdon and Charles Wells.
