Biography

Courtney stepped right in as the starting first baseman for the Cru last season and earned First Team All-West Division honors. She batted .321 with 19 RBI and tied for the team lead with two home runs. Courtney started all 40 games for UMHB and was second on the team with 22 runs scored and had a team-best 11 extra-base hits. Courtney was an All-Academic selection at McLennan Community College, where she played two seasons of softball for the Highlassies. She was an All-District and Academic All-District softball player at Brewer High School, where she also lettered in volleyball and track. Courtney is an exducation major at UMHB. She is the daughter of Evelyn and Marvin Johnston.
