Erica pitched her way into the Cru starting rotation last season and made an immediate impact. She earned ASC West Division Newcomer of the Year honors and was also a Second Team All-West Division and earned a spot on the ASC Championship Tournament All-Tournament Team. She should once again be the ace of the UMHB pitching staff this season and could continue to develop into one of the top pitchers in the league. Erica led the Cru in wins, strikeouts and innings pitched last season. She went 11-5 and added two saves while posting a 2.37 ERA. Erica tossed shutouts against Schreiner University and Concordia Texas and the shutout against Schreiner was a one-hitter. She also scored a pair of runs and added three hits in 19 at-bats on the season. Erica spent two seasons playing softball at Galveston College. She was Pitcher of the Year as a softball player at Lewisville High School. Erica is an exercise and sport science major at UMHB and she is the daughter of Carmen and Rick White.
