Biography

Karen is a talented and experienced player who has been a starter each of the past three seasons. She has the versatility to start at either shortstop or third base and she has earned ASC All-West Division honors at both positions during her career. She has raised her batting average in each of the past three seasons and was fourth on the team in batting average last season despite missing the second half of the year. Karen was an All-District softball player at Westbrook High School and she also lettered in cross-country. She is an exercise and sport science major at UMHB. Karen is the daughter of Debbie and Tony Fertitta.
