2013: Second Team All-West Division … Started all 45 games for the Cru … led the team in batting average (.392), hits (51), RBI (32), doubles (13), home runs (five), total bases (79) and walks (19) … added 24 runs and 76 assists. 2012: Played in 28 games for the Cru … Batted .141 with nine hits and one homer … 2011: Played at Texas Woman’s University … hit .215 with four home runs and 22 RBI in 53 games.

Victoria chose UMHB because she felt like this is where God called her to be. She was attracted to the beautiful campus, small college atmosphere and the idea of walking away with a one-of-a-kind education. Victoria’s career goal is to be a coach. She plans to get her bachelor’s degree with an EC-12 background and pursue master’s degrees in Sports Administration and Special Education. Victoria makes sure to talk to her parents before every game and get in a confident, positive mindset. Her most memorable sports moment was her walk-off homerun against the University of Houston Victoria, a moment she got to share with her father. Victoria’s nickname is Tori and her dream vacation destinations are Bora Bora and the Caribbean Islands. Victoria says she wouldn’t want to trade with any professional athlete (except maybe Derek Jeter for a day), but would like to play four more great years of college softball. Her walk-up songs are “Over Come” by Jeremy Camp, “10 Thousand Reasons,” and “Our God is Greater.”

Victoria is studying exercise and sport science at UMHB. She was a four-time all-district softball letter winner at Pflugerville High School, where she also competed in volleyball. Victoria was also named Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and earned all-state honors. Victoria is the daughter of John and Elizabeth Gomez.
