Kieth Mullins

Kieth Mullins rejoined the football coaching staff in April 2026. He will work with running backs.

Mullins was first promoted to full-time assistant coach at UMHB in June of 2017 after spending three seasons as a part-time assistant coach with the Cru. He came to UMHB after a 30-year high school coaching career. Mullins was a head coach and athletic director at the high school level for 24 years, including a decade-long stint at Merkel High School. Mullins coached and served as the athletic director at Merkel from 2003 to 2013. He was inducted into the Merkel Badger Hall of Fame in 2024. 

After his original UMHB stint, Mullins joined his oldest son Jeremy Mullins' staff at Tolar High School. Mullins served under his son as offensive coordinator for seven years, helping the Rattlers to several district championships and a state championship game in 2023. 

Mullins is a 1985 graduate of West Texas State University. His wife, Shelly, is the Resident Director at UMHB’s Farris Hall. The couple has three sons, Jeremy, Landry and Baylor. Baylor, a four-year letterman at safety and punter for the Cru, was an All-American and Gagliardi Trophy Semifinalist.
