Daryl Hausam (MA, LAT) joined UMHB as Assistant Athletic Trainer in August of 2011 and he was promoted to Head Athletic Trainer in July of 2013.
Daryl graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and in 1998 with a Master of Arts in Kinesiology. After graduation he joined the Huntsville Memorial Hospital physical therapy department as the Head Athletic Trainer in charge of their Sports Medicine outreach program for nine years. In 2006 he relocated to Killeen ISD as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for two years before being promoted to the Head Athletic Trainer at Shoemaker High School for the next three years.
He is a member of the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association, the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and has been involved with the Justin Sports Medicine Team. Daryl and his wife, Vanessa, have one daughter, Kaylee, who is on the track and field team at Harding University.Â
