Austin, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as the Cru women rolled to a 5-1 victory over Concordia Texas Thursday afternoon in Austin. The UMHB women improve to 6-2 overall and 5-0 in American Southwest Conference play with the victory. The loss drops the Tornados to 2-3-3 overall and 1-3-1 in the ASC on the season.
            Erin Salyer helped the Cru to a 3-0 first half lead. She scored the first two UMHB goals and then assisted Angel Kemmerer to put UMHB on top 3-0 at halftime. Brooke Magers assisted on Salyer's second goal and the first goal was unassisted. Mickie Arredondo then scored a pair of second half goals to make it 5-0 before Concordia finally scored late for the final margin. Camryn Powell and Jordan Powers assisted on Arredondo's goals in the second half. Allyson Sargeant, Meredith West and Erica Harris all saw time in goal for UMHB in the victory.
            The Cru will continue its road trip with a 1:00 PM kickoff at U.T.-Tyler Saturday in Tyler. UMHB will then return home to host U.T.-Dallas and University of the Ozarks for crucial ASC matches next Friday and Saturday.
