U.T.-Dallas would dominate the early minutes and the Comets grabbed a 1-0 lead just 2:34 into the match. Leah Bowyer scored off a corner kick with the assist going to Katie Gougler. It would stay that way into the second half before the Cru comeback began. Kim Wobecky cleaned up a rebound in front of the net for her second goal of the season to tie the match 1-1 at the 59:48 mark. Both teams would miss on some scoring chances before Angel Kemmerer scored off a Jordan Powers assist with just 1:24 remaining in regulation. The Cru defense made it stand up as Meredith West posted four second-half saves in goal for UMHB. Allyson Sargeant had three first-half saves for the Cru and Andrea Jones posted seven saves for UTD. The game was pushed back one hour and the field was drenched after torrential rains moved through Central Texas earlier in the day.
The Cru women will continue their home stand with another key ASC match tomorrow afternoon. UMHB will welcome University of the Ozarks to the Cru Sports Plex for a 1:00 PM kickoff.
