Sherman, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team took tournament host Austin College to four games, but the Cru could not pull off the upset in a four-set loss to the Roos Saturday afternoon in Sherman. The loss drops UMHB to 3-7 on the season.
UMHB fell to the Roos 25-20, 22-25, 25-13, 25-17. Christina Miller had a team-high 15 kills for the Cru and Kaydie Cochran added 10 kills and 10 digs. Erin Maenius had a team-high 21 digs. Kayla Marzean posted 19 assists and Alexis Tharp chipped in 14 assists for the Cru.
The Cru will now open American Southwest Conference play Tuesday night. UMHB will travel to Richardson to take on U.T.-Dallas in a 7:00 PM start.
