Tyler, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team grabbed an early lead but could not hold on in a four-set loss to the University of Dallas Saturday afternoon in Tyler. The loss drops the Cru to 5-13 overall on the season.
The Cru won the first set before falling 23-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-22. Kaydie Cochran posted a team-best 11 kills and Sara Hayward and Erin Tabb added seven kills apiece. Erin Maenius recorded 34 digs and Kayla Marzean had 31 assists for the Cru.
UMHB will now return to American Southwest Conference action with a full slate of matches next week. The Cru will take on East Texas Baptist next Thursday night in Marshall before playing in the first ASC Cross Over Weekend on Friday and Saturday.
