Clinton, MS – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's volleyball team took control of the match early and never looked back as the Cru rolled to a three-set victory over Sul Ross State Saturday morning in Clinton, Mississippi. UMHB improves to 8-13 overall and 2-5 in American Southwest Conference play with the victory.
UMHB dominated the match early and then stretched it out on the way to a 25-15, 25-10, 25-5 victory over the Lobos.
Tina Miller had a match-high 10 kills to lead the Cru and
Kimberly Smidovec added nine as UMHB hit .356 as a team.
Erin Maenius and
Kaydie Cochran had 11 digs apiece and
Anissa Garcia posted a team-best 27 assists in the victory.
UMHB will now return home to host a pair of ASC East Division matches next weekend. The Cr will play host to U.T.-Dallas and U.T.-Tyler at the Mayborn Campus Center next weekend.
