Box Score Longview, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team battled back from a second-set loss to win the last two sets and take a 3-1 victory over LeTourneau University Friday afternoon in Longview. The Cru wins its fourth straight match and improves to 7-6 overall with the victory. UMHB is also 1-0 in American Southwest Conference East Division play following the win.
UMHB would split the first two sets before going on to the 25-19, 20-25, 25-21, 25-23 victory.
Tina Miller led UMHB with 13 kills and she added five block assists.
Lisa Morgan had 10 kills in her first action of the season.
Anissa Garcia posted a team-high 27 assists and
Alexis Tharp also reached double figures with 18 assists.
Erin Maenius had a team-best 22 digs and Tharp also reached double figures in that category with 11 digs.
UMHB will return to action with a pair of matches in Richardson tomorrow. The Cru will face U.T.-Dallas in an ASC East Division match before taking on the University of Dallas in a non-conference tilt. UMHB will then return home to host St. Thomas for a 6:00 PM non-conference match next Tuesday at the Mayborn Campus Center.
