Men's soccer beats East Texas Baptist 3-0

Marshall, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team took control of the match in the final 20 minutes and the Cru rolled to a 3-0 victory over East Texas Baptist Saturday afternoon in Marshall. The UMHB men improve to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in American Southwest Conference play with the victory.
            The match was scoreless into the 70th minute before Neiko Camp would give UMHB a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal. The Cru got an insurance goal when Vincent Morales scored off an assist from Daniel Gable with five minutes remaining. Gable would assist Michael Hicks to close out the scoring as UMHB added its final goal with just two minutes left to play. Mark Miller went the distance in goal for the Cru to post his third shutout in four starts on the season.

            The Cru men will now return home for a pair of ASC matches next weekend. UMHB will host U.T.-Tyler for a 4:00 PM start on Friday before taking on Concordia Texas in a 3:00 PM start on Saturday at the Cru Sports Plex.
