Clarksville, AR – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team took a first half lead and the stretched it out in the second half as the Cru posted a 4-1 victory over the University of the Ozarks Thursday afternoon in Clarksville, Arkansas. The UMHB men improve to 6-2 overall and 3-2 in American Southwest Conference play with the victory. The loss drops the Eagles to 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the ASC on the year.
            The Cru dominated the early part of the first half before finally denting the scoreboard when Neiko Camp knocked home a throw-in from Ben Allen 38 minutes into the half. UMHB would take that 1-0 lead into halftime. Coby Duren scored off an assist from Bo Baker 10 minutes into the second half to push the Cru lead to 2-0. Ozarks closed to within 2-1 when Francisco Garza scored just 1:08 later. Baker would assist Kyle Dickey in the 65th minute to give UMHB some breathing room at 3-1 and Daniel Gable added an insurance goal off an assist from Vincent Morales in the 78th minute to provide the final margin for the Cru.

            Mark Miller had three saves in goal to get the win for UMHB. Neil Thompson recorded five saves for the Eagles. UMHB outshot the Eagles 14-7 and held a 10-2 edge in corner kicks in the match.

            The Cru will close out its road trip with a 3:00 PM start at U.T.-Dallas on Saturday in Richardson. The UMHB men will then return home to host Louisiana College and Mississippi College next weekend at the Cru Sports Plex.
