Men's soccer edged by U.T.-Dallas 2-1

Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer fell to UT-Dallas 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in Belton. The loss drops UMHB men to 5-2-1 overall and 4-2-0 in American Southwest Conference play. UT-Dallas improves to 6-1-2 overall and 4-1-1 in the ASC. The UMHB men's defense held the Comets scoreless for the first half.
 
The Comets would take a 1-0 lead when Julian Torres scored at the 48:07 mark of the second half. The Cru would even the score when Alex Perez scored off an assist from Kyle Dickey at the 49:41 mark. The Comets offense took at total of six shots. Bryan Shiba scored at the 64:56 mark and was assisted by Mark Brooks to give the Comets a 2-1 lead. Michael Darrow contributed two shots for the UT- Dallas offense.
 
The Cru posted five total shots on the day. Adam Cecil had two saves to help the UMHB defense. The Cru men will be back in action Thursday, October 6th to take on Louisiana College. There is a 6:00 PM kickoff time in Pineville, LA.
