Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football team will play its final non-conference game of the 2011 season when Southern Oregon comes to Tiger Field for a 1:00 PM kickoff this Saturday. UMHB will enter the game ranked fourth in the country in both national polls and the Cru has a 5-0 record on the season following a 35-12 victory over Mississippi College last Saturday in Clinton, Mississippi. The Raiders are 3-3 overall, but will bring a three-game winning streak into Saturday's contest and SOU has knocked off back-to-back Top 25 opponents. The UMHB offense was less than impressive against MC, managing just 39 yards of total offense in the second half, so there could be some changes before the Cru returns to American Southwest Conference play.

“We have to get better offensively so we are taking a look at everything we do,” Cru head coach Pete Fredenburg said. “We will look at personnel and the ways to get our best players on the field and our pistol offense really relates well to the I-formation.”

UMHB has won two straight against Southern Oregon after losing the initial meeting between the two teams in 2008. The UMHB athletic department will offer free live video streaming and live statistics here: http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/umhb.portal.
