Shreveport, LA – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team could not find enough offense to overcome an early deficit and the Cru fell to Centenary College 2-0 Friday afternoon in Shreveport, Louisiana. The loss drops the UMHB women to 4-11-1 on the season. Centenary improves to 9-6-1 on the year with the victory.
The Ladies grabbed a 1-0 lead when Traci Lee scored off an assist from Hannah Pfannenstiel at the 22:10 mark of the first half. It would stay that way into the second half before Centenary added an insurance goal from Kelly Fossard 1:12 into the second.
UMHB would match Centenary with eight shots and the Cru put four of those shots on goal compared to three for the Ladies.
Erica Harris had one save in goal for UMHB while Brittaney Dunn had four saves to record the shutout for Centenary College.
The UMHB women will now close out the season with a pair of American Southwest Conference road matches next weekend. The Cru will take on Schreiner University in a 1:00 PM start next Friday in Kerrville before closing out the regular season with a 1:00 PM start at Texas Lutheran University next Saturday in Seguin.
