Box Score Jackson, MS – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team could not put Belhaven University away when it had the chance and the Cru lost a five-set decision to the Blazers Saturday morning in Jackson, Mississippi. The loss drops UMHB to 20-8 on the season.
The Cru had chances to close out the Blazers, but lost the final two sets in an 18-25, 25-18, 15-25, 25-21, 15-5 defeat.
Kimberly Smidovec and
Kaydie Cochran topped UMHB with 10 kills apiece.
Anissa Garcia had 41 assists and 17 digs.
Elise Butler led the Cru with 22 digs and
Morgan Baker also reached double figures with 15 digs for UMHB.
The Cru will close out the Millsaps Tournament and the regular season this afternoon. UMHB will take on tournament host Millsaps College in a 2:00 PM start.
