Sherman, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team came up short today during their match with Austin College. Taylor Bullock had a team high of three shots for the Cru. Meredith West was the goalkeeper for the game. She had five saves during the game to power the Crusader defense.
 
Kelsey D'Amore had the only goal of the entire game. The goal was scored 17:39 into the first half of the matchup. Strong defense by Austin College kept the Cru scoreless throughout game.
 
The loss for UMHB brought their record to 0-2-1. The win for Austin College brings their record to 2-1 on the season. They also had 13 shots on the game compared to nine for the Cru. Austin College Goalkeeper Maya Warnock kept the Cru from blasting through to score by having five successful saves. Ali Ryan and Shelley Casey both had two shots for Austin College.
 
The Crusaders will strive for their first win against LeTourneau University in the American Southwest Conference this upcoming Friday with a 2:00 kickoff time.
