Box Score Tyler, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's team won a battle over the University of Texas at Tyler 3-2 in overtime Thursday night.
Michael White gave the Cru their first goal at the 42:49 mark to give UMHB a 1-0 lead. White's goal completed the scoring for the entire first half of play.
Tyler scored their first goal at the 58:52 mark to set the Patriots even with the Cru. Devin Utley then responded with another goal assisted by
Kabutey Ebeheakey to give the Cru a 2-1 lead. UT-Tyler scored again in the second half to even the scoring and send the game into overtime.
Kevin Johnson scored the winning goal in overtime at the 97:54 mark to give UMHB the win over the Patriots. The Cru improves to 4-0-1 overall and 3-0 in American Southwest Conference play.
The Cru posted 9 shots on the game compared to the Patriots 6. Utley and Johnson combined for five shots on the day for the Cru offense. The team will be back in action Saturday, September 24
th to take on Concordia University. There is a 4:00 PM kickoff time in Austin.
