Women's soccer drops 4-0 decision to Hardin-Simmons

BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team could not overcome an early 3-0 deficit Friday afternoon, falling to Hardin-Simmons University 4-0 in Belton. The loss drops UMHB to 6-7-2 overall and 3-6-2 in American Southwest Conference action while the Cowgirls improved to 14-0-1 on the season and 11-0-0 in conference.  
 
Devon Howard, Taylor Thigpen and Kati McCarty all scored for the Cowgirls, with Howard putting two shots in net. Hardin-Simmons outshot the Lady Cru 17-2 in the match and took 11 corner kicks. Courtney Ferguson took both shots for the Lady Cru, putting one of those on goal. Sarah Kathryn Robinson played 50:11 in the goal, recording three saves. Jasmine Austin came in relief, recording three saves for UMHB.
 
The Lady Cru will finish the regular season with a 5 p.m. kickoff against Howard Payne University tomorrow in Belton.
