Box Score Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team was swept in doubles and could not rally in singles play as the Cru dropped an 8-1 decision to Whitman College Tuesday afternoon in Belton. The UMHB women fall to 3-4 on the spring with the loss. Whitman improves to 8-2 on the season with the win. The matched paired two of the top programs in the West Region. Whitman was ranked 10
th in the West in the latest ITA Regional rankings and UMHB entered the matched ranked 15
th in the West by the ITA.
The Cru will continue its home stand with a 2:00 PM match against the University of St. Catherine on Thursday. The UMHB men and women will then play host to Hendrix College for a 10:30 AM start on Saturday at the Yvonne Li Tennis Center.
