Basketball teams resume road trip Thursday night at Sul Ross State

Alpine, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's and women's basketball teams resume their six-game road trips with two more games apiece this week. The Cru men and women open the week's action with a doubleheader at Sul Ross State University Thursday in Alpine. The women's game will tip off at 5:30 PM with the men to follow at 7:30 PM on Thursday. UMHB will then travel to Brownwood to face Howard Payne University in another doubleheader on Saturday. The women's game tips at 1:00 PM on Saturday with the men to follow at 3:00 PM.

The UMHB men are 14-3 overall and have a 10-1 mark in American Southwest Conference West Division play this season. The Cru enters the week with a two-game lead in the West Division and can clinch a berth in the ASC Championship Tournament with two wins this week. The UMHB men will also take a five-game winning streak into Thursday night's game. Sul Ross State is 4-13 overall and 3-8 in ASC play entering the week while the Howard Payne men are 5-12 overall and 3-8 in the ASC West.

The Cru women enter the week with a 3-13 overall record and a 2-9 mark in ASC play. UMHB is coming off a 68-59 victory over Schreiner University and will be looking to string together back-to-back wins for the first time this season. The Cru also enters the weekend just two wins out of the fourth and final playoff spot in the ASC West and can move into the playoff picture with a strong showing this weekend. The Sul Ross State women are 1-16 overall and 0-11 in the ASC on the season. Howard Payne enters the week with a 14-3 overall record and a 9-2 mark in ASC play.

UMHB will provide live audio streaming of all four games this week. Aaron Rodeffer will call the action with Thursday's broadcast starting at 5:15 PM. Saturday's broadcast will hit the air at 12:45 PM. Sul Ross State and Howard Payne will also provide live statistics from the games.
