Basketball teams resume road trip with Tuesday doubleheader

Austin, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's and women's basketball teams will resume their six-game road trip with a key American Southwest Conference West Division doubleheader at Concordia Texas Tuesday night in Austin. The Cru men and women will then close out the road swing with an ASC West Doubleheader at Hardin-Simmons University Thursday night in Abilene.

The UMHB men are currently 16-3 overall and hold down first-place in the ASC West Division with a 12-1 league mark. The Cru has won seven straight games and is receiving votes in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll this week. UMHB has already clinched a berth in the ASC Championship Tournament and the Cru enters this week's action with a two-game lead over Concordia and Hardin-Simmons in the ASC West Division. The Tornados are currently 15-4 overall and 10-3 in ASC play on the season. Hardin-Simmons will bring a 13-6 overall record and 10-3 ASC mark in Thursday's game.

The Cru women are 4-14 overall and 3-10 in ASC play entering this week's action and the UMHB women have won two of their last three games. UMHB is just one game behind Texas Lutheran University for the fourth and final tournament berth from the West Division entering this week. Concordia Texas will bring a 12-7 overall record and 9-4 mark in ASC play into Tuesday's game. Hardin-Simmons is 11-8 overall and 8-4 in the ASC going into Thursday night's doubleheader.

Tuesday's games will tip off at 5:30 and 7:30 PM and UMHB will offer live audio streaming of Tuesday's doubleheader with Jon Wallin and Chad Widmer calling the action. Concordia will also offer live statistics for Tuesday's doubleheader. Hardin-Simmons will offer live video and live statistics for Thursday's doubleheader.
