Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team will play its final home matches of the 2013 season when the Cru hosts an American Southwest Conference pod at the Mayborn Campus Center this weekend. UMHB will welcome seven other ASC programs to town for the final weekend of conference matches. This will be the only home conference action of the season for the Cru, with the team playing four ASC matches over the two days of the event.
UMHB enters this weekend's play with a 22-5 overall record and an 11-3 mark in ASC play. The Cru has already tied the school Division III era, single-season record for victories with six matches remaining in the regular season. UMHB will face East Texas Baptist University in a 1:00 PM match on Friday before closing out the opening day with a 5:00 PM match against LeTourneau University. The Cru will take on Mississippi College at 10:00 AM on Saturday before closing out the event with a 2:00 PM match against U.T.-Tyler on Saturday. UMHB has already clinched a berth in the ASC Championship Tournament.
Following the ASC pod this weekend, UMHB will close out the regular season with two matches at Southwestern University Tournament next weekend in Georgetown. The complete schedule for the ASC pod hosted by UMHB is listed below.
