Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to the University of Texas at Tyler Friday evening in Belton. The Cru falls to 11-3 on the season and 5-3 in American Southwest Conference action while the Patriots advance to 9-4 overall and 4-3 in conference play.
The Patriots took an early lead when Jordan Johnston and Chana Forstall scored within five minutes of each other for a 2-0 Patriot lead. U.T.-Tyler added one more goal in the second half to secure the 3-0 victory.
Kathryn Parker led the Cru with three shots while
Kristen Hoelscher and
Ashley Teague added two. The Patriots outshot the Cru 13-11 in the match.
Courtney Craig took the loss, recording six saves in the contest. UMHB took three corner kicks in the match.
The Cru returns to action tomorrow with a 5 p.m. match against LeTourneau University in Belton. UMHB will be honoring the seniors of the women's soccer team at halftime of the men's game.
