ABILENE, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team played to an 0-0 draw with Hardin-Simmons Friday afternoon in Abilene. The tie moves the Cru to 2-6-1 overall and 0-2-1 in American Southwest Conference action while the Cowboys remain 2-3-4 on the season and 0-0-3 in conference play.
The game remained scoreless through two regulation periods and two overtime periods. UMHB outshot the Cowboys 19-14 in the match, led by
McKenna Cook's four shots.
Blake Lander played the whole game in the goal for the Cru, recording three saves. UMHB was the only team to manage a shot in an overtime period, recording one in each. UMHB put six shots on goal while the Cowboy's put three. Hardin-Simmons took five corner kicks to UMHB's one.
The Cru will return to action tomorrow with a 3 p.m. match against Howard Payne University in Brownwood.
