BROWNWOOD, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team grabbed a 3-0 victory over Howard Payne University Saturday afternoon in Brownwood. The win improves the Cru to 8-1 overall and 3-1 in American Southwest Conference action.
Allison Porter put UMHB on the board first with an unassisted goal in the 18th minute. Porter struck again ten minutes later, assisting a goal by
Eliza Faillace to give the Cru a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Kathryn Parker found the back of the net in the second half to give UMHB the 3-0 advantage and victory.
UMHB outshot the Yellow Jackets 13-6 in the match, led by Parker's four.

Abbigail Minnix split time in the goal for the Cru. Minnix made four saves in the second half.
The Cru will return to action Thursday, Oct. 10th in a 3 p.m. match at East Texas Baptist University.
