Football broadcasts move to K101.7 FM for 2013 season

Belton, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football broadcasts will move to a new radio home for the 2013 season with K101.7 FM taking over the broadcasts. Cru football will now be on an FM station for the first time since the inaugural season in 1998. As part of UMHB football's partnership with the Townsquare Media family of stations in Central Texas, there will also be a UMHB coaches show each Tuesday night from 6:30-7:00 PM beginning tomorrow night, September 3rd. The UMHB Coaches Show will air on KTEM 1400 AM each week. Listeners will be able to call in questions for Cru head coach Pete Fredenburg each week and will also have the ability to tweet questions to @crufootball. The UMHB Coaches Show will also go on location during the season, allowing audience members to attend the broadcast and ask questions in person.

The K101.7 game broadcasts will also be available through live streaming on the station's web site at http://k1017fm.com/. You can listen to the broadcast on your mobile device by downloading the station's radioPup app for iPhone or Android devices.

Along with the move to K101.7 FM, UMHB football broadcasts will have a new play-by-play voice for the 2013 season. Cru Sports Information Director Jon Wallin will call the action this season with former UMHB offensive coordinator and long-time Division I assistant coach George Haffner once again provide color commentary and analysis. Broadcasts will begin with the pre-game show 30 minutes prior to kickoff. The 2013 season will open this Saturday, September 7th, with UMHB's opener at University of Redlands. The pre-game show will start at 8:30 PM Central Time with kickoff scheduled for 9:00 PM Central.
