Women's soccer grabs 3-2 decision on Huston-Tillotson

AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team grabbed a 3-2 victory against Huston-Tillotson Monday night in Austin. The Cru extends its winning streak to 2-0 while the Rams move to 1-1.

Kathryn Parker put the Cru on the board first, giving UMHB a 1-0 lead before Sarah Kopp capitalized on a corner kick. The Cru held the 2-0 lead going into halftime. Huston-Tillotson responded with a goal halfway through the second half to cut UMHB's lead 2-1. Parker, the Schlotzsky's Lotz Better Player of the Game, gave the Cru security with a goal and assist from Allison Porter late in the second half. The Rams would score once more but were unable to catch UMHB.

UMHB will return action Tuesday, Sept. 10th for a 7 p.m. match at Southwestern.
