BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team tied Howard Payne 0-0 Saturday evening in Belton. The tie brought the Cru to 6-4-1 on the season and 3-1-1 in American Southwest Conference play while the Yellow Jackets moved to 5-5-1 overall and 0-2-1 in conference play.
Neither team was able to score during regulation play. UMHB outshot the Yellow Jackets 9-1 during regulation and did not allow a shot in the second half. The Cru took three shots in overtime but was unable to find the back of the net, ending the game in a 0-0 tie.
Kathryn Parker led the Cru with five shots while Briana Hester added three. UMHB totaled 12 shots in the contest and limited the Yellow Jackets to just two. Courtney Craig earned the tie in the goal, making two saves and playing the full 110 minutes.
UMHB returns to action Friday, October 24th in a 4 p.m. match at LeTourneau University in Longview.
