Box Score Richardson, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor softball team grabbed an 8-0 win over The University of Texas at Dallas Saturday afternoon in Richardson. The Cru improved to 11-10 on the season and 9-9 in American Southwest Conference action while the Comets fell to 10-11 overall and 7-11 in conference play.
Chandler Henson gave the Cru an early advantage with a two-RBI double in the top of the second.
Kourtney Bevers added an RBI allowing Henson to score before
Leah Brown hit a two-RBI single to left field giving UMHB a 5-0 advantage after the top of the second. The Cru added three more runs in the top of the sixth to secure the 8-0 victory. Brown and
Dayton Kunz both led the Cru with two hits while Henson, Bevers and Brown each added two RBI.
Rebekah Ragsdale earned the win in the circle for the Cru, allowing two hits and striking out four batters.
The Cru returns home Monday, March 24th to host Linfield College in a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader at Dee Dillon Field in Belton.
