Box Score BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team grabbed a 2-0 decision over Austin College Saturday afternoon in Belton. The win improves the Cru to 3-2 on the season while the Roos fall to 4-2.
Cameron Shivers gave UMHB a lead in just over a minute of play. Goalkeeper Courtney Craig gave Shivers a through ball of a punt from the backfield, allowing her to bury a shot into the bottom left corner and give UMHB a 1-0 lead early.
Kristen Hoelscher was the next Crusader to score, finishing a cross from
Cameron Shivers for the 2-0 win.
Shivers and Hoelscher led the Cru with three shots each while
Allison Porter and Kat Parker each added two.
Courtney Craig and
Morgan Prentice split time in the goal, making a combined four saves. UMHB totaled 13 shots in the contest and limited the Roos to just eight.
