RICHARDSON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team dropped a non-conference 2-1 decision to U.T.-Tyler on Friday afternoon on the campus of U.T.-Dallas in Richardson. The loss drops the Cru to 2-3 while the Patriots improved to 4-0. 
The game remained scoreless until the 54th minute when U.T.-Tyler's Trevor Self found the back of the net for a 1-0 Patriot lead. Case Carnes responded for UMHB off a cross from McKenna Cook, evening the game at 1-1 in the 67th minute. Diego Guttierez was the next athlete to strike, burying his shot into the back of the net for a 2-1 Patriot win. 
Ben Hammonds led UMHB with four shots while Cook added two. The Cru totaled nine shots to U.T.-Tyler's 14. Javier Zaragoza played the whole game in the net for the Cru, allowing two goals and making four saves. 
UMHB returns to action tomorrow in a 7 p.m. match against U.T.-Dallas in Richardson. The Cru returns home on Friday, September 26th in a 5 p.m. match against Concordia Texas at the Cru Sports Plex in Belton.
