Box Score Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team fell behind after doubles and could not make it up despite three wins in singles as the Cru fell to Hardin-Simmons 6-3 Sunday afternoon in Belton. UMHB was swept in doubles, but rallied with singles wins from
Hannah Warren at #1,
Angelie Juaneza at #2 and
Paola Nunez at #6. The Cru women close out the regular season at 7-8 overall and 2-2 in American Southwest Conference West Division play. The Cowgirls win the ASC West and improve to 9-7 overall and 4-0 in the ASC West with the victory.
The Cru will now advance to the ASC Championship Tournament as the #3 seed from the ASC West Division. The full ASC Tournament bracket will be released Sunday night or Monday morning. Sunday's match was also the final home match for lone Cru senior Juaneza.
